Event Details

Each February the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce hosts this three day event, which features nearly 500 artists and artisans from around the country lining the shaded Avenue of the Fountains. This festival attracts close to 160,000 visitors from the valley and out of state. In addition to having the finest professional artists and artisans from various parts of the country, this festival features the annual Hot Air Balloon Rally held at 7 a.m. on Sunday. There are great photo opportunities of balloons reflecting against the water with the fountain in the background. A unique tradition among the balloonists is to attempt to dip their baskets into Fountain Lake.

The Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Booth is located at the intersection of the Avenue of the Fountains and Verde River Drive, and is available to assist you.

Rain or Shine - Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Be sure to watch for the "purple people" at the fairs. They are over 300 volunteers who wear purple sashes and hand out programs and greet nearly 200,000 people attending each fair. They work in teams and each team works three shifts. Each team is then assigned a route. This has been a tradition for nearly 25 years.
